AWBT Press Release AWBT’s 3rd Stop
$500 Added 8-Ball at
Alexander’s Bar & Grill
Presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues - May 3rd, 2008

18 Women came to Alexander’s on May 2nd to play in the AWBT’s 3rd stop! This was a $500 8-ball tourney on bar-box tables presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues. The race was Arizona rating, minus 3, with a minimum race to 3.

Bonnie Plowman and Sara Miller both won their way through their brackets to meet up in the hot seat match. Sara made it to the hill first with the score 3 to 2, then Bonnie came back and won the next 4 games which won her the match with the score of 6 to 3.

Sara then went on to play Bernie Store. Bernie won that match with the score of 5 to 2.

The final match was between Bonnie Plowman and Bernie Store. Since this was a true double elimination format, Bernie would need to beat Bonnie in to sets of a race to their rating! (Bernie to 5, Bonnie to 6). Before we could blink an eye, the match was over and Bonnie beat Bernie in the first set 6 to 4! Congratulations ladies!

We’d like to send out a huge thank you to Ron, Ann and everyone out at Alexanders! We had a great day and always love playing at that establishment!

We hope to see you all at our next tournament! The 4th stop will be a $500 WPBA Qualifier at Kolbys Corner Pocket, Tempe Arizona. Dates are July 19th –20th and this event is presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues! The qualifier will be for the WPBA Carolina Classic event in September.
