AWBT $500 Added WPBA Qualifier at Bull Shooters Peoria
Presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues
April 25-26, 2009

Bull Shooters on 35th Ave and Peoria was the spot to be this weekend to watch some great pool! The game was 9-ball, the prize was a $1000 prize pot in addition to a paid WPBA Qualifier spot for the Great Lakes Classic tournament, presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues! Twenty women came out to play including women from all over the Western US!

On Sunday, the top 8 ladies were set and ready to play. The A side matches kicked off with Trunh Lu vs. Susan Williams and Angel Paglia vs. Sara Miller. The B side pitted Stacy Novak vs. Susan Mello and Samm Diep vs. Ashea Erdahl.

Stacey and Susan Williams each won their matches and met up in the quarter-final match. Stacey dominated the match and won with the score of 7-1.

Trinh and Angel each went undefeated through their brackets and met up for the hot-seat match. Angel dominated the match and won with the score 7-1.

Stacey and Trinh went on to play each other in the semi-final match. Once again, Stacy was a dominant force and won the match 7-2.

Stacey went on to challenge Angel who was waiting in the hot seat. Since this was a true double elimination format, Stacy would have to beat Angel in two sets of a race to 7. It never got to the second race. Angel took off to an early lead and never looked back. Angel won the match 7-2. Congratulations Angel for winning 1st place, the 1st place money and the paid spot into the WPBA Great Lakes Classic Event! All your fellow Arizonians will be rooting for ya!

Eight women came back on Sunday to play in the free second chance tournament! Congratulations to Darlene Stinson for first place and $40 and Mary Moench for second place and $25!
